iPod v. PSP for video
After months of trying to use my PSP as a video player I finally gave it up and picked up a 5G iPod. Its infinitely larger hard drive and faster transfer speeds schooled the PSP. And since I always have my iPod with me anyways, I’d always have my video content too.
There are some pluses to both platforms. But the iPod just wins flat out. The PSP is so large, that when holding it to watch a video just isn’t as naturally as when i hold my iPod. I can just grab my iPod when I go for a smoke break and catch an episode of ask a ninja. With my PSP, its terribly awkward. While the PSP DOES have a larger screen, its just not worth the larger hardware. My iPod also holds a TON more content than my stupid 1gb memory stick. Sony, what am I supposed to do with 1gb?
And probably the biggest reason my iPod is better is one simple reason. Its an iPod. And what makes an iPod so good is its syncing. After writing a small tool, I have all my shows auto sync to my iPod with no effort at all. I have no interaction and all my shows are available to me anytime anyplace. And Sony just can’t touch that. Its the iTunes stupid.
