Fix Samsung a920 Picture Mail
Ok, one of the first things I went to do with my new phone was send pictures to flickr. Being addicted to my blackberry for so long, I haven’t had a camera phone in a while.
What I found out while doing this was that there is a problem with this phone and Sprint’s picture mail. Until a new firmware update comes out, here is a work around. Once you send the picture mail and its put into pending. Turn off Power Vision via Menu/Settings/Power Vision/Disable Vision. Then the mail will send.
Weird eh?
UPDATE:
A firmware update was released a while ago. Update your phone and you should be emailing pictures fine.
nice, thanks for this post - i just got the same phone and service setup, and was having the same problem. :D

i gave this fix a shot and it didn’t work unfortunately - i tried both leaving a pending item in the inbox, then turning off the vision service, and also tried turning it off before composing + sending picture mail - no go on either. :/ i will have to wait for firmware fix i guess.

I tried turning the power vision off & it still didn’t work. I ended up turning the power vision off, then turning my phone off then back on, then sending the picture mail - IT went through.

I have a friend that says thats the only way to get his to work. There is now a firmware update that resolves the original problem, but he says it didn’t work for him.
Honestly, i’d take my phone back if i had to deal with that. You should think about doing that.
