I’ve officially made the switch to TextMate after years of using SubEthaEdit as my text editor. TextMate just has too many features that make my day better. Snippets, tabs, macros, and just enough auto-completion to not get in my way.

I took a moment this morning to play with Automator to whip up a little Automator script that will open a file/folder in TextMate. Just right click a selection, choose Automator, and Open With TextMate. Maybe you’ll find it useful. Its pretty simple.

Download it and put it in ~/Library/Workflows/Automator/Applications/Finder
