The New Orleans Lost & Found section of Craigslist has come together to help each other out in one of the worst times of thier lives. They are posting directions for finding people, advertising room & board, and just letting people know they are ok.
This is one of the finest examples of social networking. The speed and breadth of info that can be distributed and attained is amazing. Like the flickr tags below, this is something that just can’t be done with any other medium or closely controlled devices like mainstream media.
Its awesome.
