iTunesCounter 2.0
Apple has announced another giveaway, this time counting up to their half billionth song sold on iTunes. I’ve changed up my iTunes counter script so that you can once again add the current iTunes total to your page.
It’s a simple JavaScript using AJAX. Just add the script to the top of your page, and add the corresponding DIV where you want the number to appear.
UPDATE: ok, never mind. I think Apple has some kind of .htaccess block on the xml file that has the updated count on it so that it can’t be accessed through a page that’s being hosted. These scripts work perfectly when accessed locally, but when embedded in a hosted site, nothing. The xml can’t be accessed.
Returns just the number
Shows the actual count up like on Apple’s page
I came across your blog today, and thought you’d be interested in a cool piece of MP3 recording software called Replay Music.
If you’re looking for a way to get music onto your iPod from Online Radio stations or Subscription Music Services like Rhapsody, Napster, Yahoo Unlimited, etc, check out Replay Music. Here’s the link:
http://www.replay-music.com
Replay Music records from a variety of streaming sources, splits out the songs into individual tracks, and then tags the MP3 files with the artist, song title, album and genre. It does this bit of magic using song recognition technology. It’s pretty cool.
I hope you’ll have a look. If you’d like to offer a discount to your readers, let me know, and I’ll set you up with a discount code for $20 off. We also have an affiliate program if you’d like to make a commission on each sale if you’re interested.
Best Regards,
