I’ve Had It With This Administration
I'm not going to make this a long one. I just needed to scream about this. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist spoke out about same sex marriages after the Supreme Court struck down State sodomy laws. He said said he “absolutely” supports a constitutional ban on same sex marriages.
What the fuck happened to land of the free? The Senate Majority Leader wants to friggen add an amendment to the US Constitution deciding who we can marry or not. I want to know ONE single reason why this should happen other than, “Its just not normal”. Will it invoke crime? Will the economy suffer? Will war break out? HOLY CRAP! WILL THE ENTIRE COUNTRY BECOME GAY!?!? What will be stopped or not started by passing this into law? This is absoultey rediculous, and our friggen President can't even make a comment on it. Which pretty much means he's for it.
This sickens me, and scares the living shit out of me. To have a federally mandated law forbidding a person from marrying whomever they they wish just isn't the land of the free.
Well, if it is any consolation, if they tried to pass it, it would probably be shot down in the Supreme Court. It is scary that this sort of thing still exists, and someone would want to do this on a national level.
