Is This A Fucking Joke?
Former DoubleClick executive, Nuala O'Connor Kelly, has just been appointed as Privacy Czar of the Department of Homeland Security. For the uninformed, DoubleClick is a banner ad company that was investigated by the FTC in 2000 for “improperly storing and sharing private user data” as well as being involved in several class-action lawsuits. These were all settled out of court. This is so rediculous I can't even comment on it.
